Representatives

The United States government is meant to be of the people, by the people, and for the people, so knowing who is representing you is crucial to keeping that sentiment alive. When you know who your representatives are you can hold them accountable and keep them serving the best interest of their constituents. The following links are to websites that can tell you who is representing you on local and federal levels, as well as who the representatives of other states are.

ELECTIONS

Election seasons are always filled with ads about who you should and shouldn't vote for, making it difficult to know who would best represent you and your views. That's why it is extremely important that, should you be old enough to vote, you research the different candidates running for offices. This allows you to make an informed decision on who you think would do the best job in the position they are running for. Even if you are too young to vote, it never hurts to be aware of who's running, as one of them will eventually become your representative. It can also be difficult to know how to vote, as different states have different procedures and rules for voting that are essential to know before casting your ballot. Voting is important, but what's more important is that you are making an informed decision when you go to the polls. The following links are to websites that explain the voting process for each state, how to make informed decisions when voting, as well as upcoming elections and the candidates who are running in them.
