REVOLUTIONARY WAR ERA
The Revolutionary War was the beginning of the United States, so it stands to reason that in order to understand the nation we live in, we also have to understand the war that started it all, as well as what led up to that war. The following timeline is meant to give a condensed version of the events leading up to the revolution and what happened during the war itself.
THE FOUNDING ERA
While the Revolutionary War may be one of the most recognizable events in United States history, the years following it are just as important to understanding American history and are crucial to understanding American government. The following is a brief summary of America's first government that was put in place during the Revolution, why it was changed, and how the government we have now was created.
THE FOUNDING FATHERS
Historians widely regard the following 7 people as the most influential founding fathers. You should also remember that while there are 7 main founding fathers there were many others who are considered to be framers, signers, founders, or perhaps none of the above, who also had important impacts on the founding of the nation.
